to let the lack of initial attention drive you away.
I've been posting here for quite a while and am only really just now gaining some more attention on my art.
It helps if you make an art thread, and try to interact with other people on the website and partake in the ongoing events.
It takes a while but you can get there eventually if you keep up posting and trying to engage with things. :)
